Chapter 3

The King Meets With Guru Ji

As Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji prepares to move forward from Patna and travel East, Mata Gujiri Ji prays that they stay in the land where they grew up. Maharaaj, however, gives a vow that they will return home once their newborn child is of the age of five.

One morning after amrit vela, a messenger from Jodhpur, arrives within the congregation and states his plea at the feet of the Guru. He has been sent by Raja Bishan Singh and urges the Guru to help the Raja in his future endeavours against the land of Kamarupa. Once the Raja arrives, he bows from afar after beholding the Guru and walks barefoot to the congregation. Upon entering the Merciful's sanctuary, the Guru accepts the king's plea and tells him to make karrah parshaadh and distribute it to the community.

Excited, Raja Bishan Singh is ecstatic to begin travelling to Kamarupa under the support of the Guru.
