Hearing the Guru's words, both the wealthy and the impoverished gather in large numbers.

ਬ੍ਯਾਹ ਉਛਾਹ ਪਛਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਗਮਨ ਠਾਨਿ ਤਤਕਾਲ ॥੧॥

bayaaeh uchhaah pachhaan kai gaman tthaan tatakaal ||1||

Recognising the grandeur of the upcoming wedding, they immediately set forth in eager anticipation. ||1||

ਅਨਿਕ ਬਨਿਕ ਰੋਪਰ ਤੇ ਆਏ ।

anik banik ropar te aae

ਸਕਲ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਕੋ ਸਉਦਾ ਲ੍ਯਾਏ ।

sakal bhaant ko saudaa layaae

Numerous individuals from Ropar hasten to the location, bringing with them a diverse range of merchandise and businesses.

ਪੁਰਿ ਹੁਸ਼ੀਆਰਿ ਆਦਿ ਜੇ ਹੁਤੇ ।

pur husheeaar aad je hute

ਤਿਨ ਮਹਿਂ ਤੇ ਆਵਤਿ ਭੇ ਇਤੇ ॥੨॥

tin mahin te aavat bhe ite ||2||

From places like Hoshiarpur and other cities, a multitude of merchants make their way here [to Anandpur]. ||2||

ਕੇਤਿਕ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਆਵਹਿਂ ।

ketik gur sikh sangat aavahin

ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਅਪਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਜਾਵਹਿਂ ।

tin ke sang apar mil jaavahin

Some Gursikh congregations arrive, and in their midst, they come across other gatherings and engage in conversations.

ਧਨ ਖਾਟਹਿਂਗੇ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਵਹਾਰੋ ।

dhan khaattahinge kar bivahaaro

ਮੇਲਾ ਲਾਗਹਿ ਕਈ ਹਜ਼ਾਰੋ ॥੩॥

melaa laageh kee hazaaro ||3||

"Let's engage in this venture and earn wealth! This festival is set to be a grand gathering, with thousands in attendance." ||3||

ਸੁਨਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਨਰ ਗ੍ਰਾਮਨਿ ਸਮੁਦਾਏ ।

sun sun nar graaman samudaae

ਕਰਿ ਚਿਤ ਚੌਂਪ ਤੁਰਤ ਚਲਿ ਆਏ ।

kar chit chauanp turat chal aae

Hearing [the news], people in the villages gather, their spirits lifted with anticipation, and they immediately set out.

ਹੁਤੋ ਨਗਰ ਸੀਰੰਦ ਬਡੇਰੋ ।

huto nagar seerand baddero

ਤਹਿਂ ਬਿਵਹਾਰੀ ਮਿਲੇ ਘਨੇਰੋ ॥੪॥

tahin bivahaaree mile ghanero ||4||

There was a great, big town, Sirhind, where a great number of merchants convene and unite. ||4||

ਬਡੋ ਬਜ਼ਾਰ ਤਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਯੋ ।

baddo bazaar tahaan te aayo

ਬਨਜ ਹੇਤੁ ਸਉਦਾ ਬਡ ਲ੍ਯਾਯੋ ।

banaj het saudaa badd layaayo

The most significant market from Sirhind makes its way to Anandpur, transporting vast amounts of inventory intended for profitable sale.

ਕੇਤਿਕ ਸਿੱਖ ਦਰਬ ਤੇ ਹੀਨੇ ।

ketik sikh darab te heene

ਸੁਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਹੁਕਮ ਹਰਖ ਉਰ ਕੀਨੇ ॥੫॥

sun gur hukam harakh ur keene ||5||

Among them are Sikhs who didn't have money, and upon hearing the Guru's command, they are filled with immense joy. ||5||

ਗੁਰ ਘਰ ਤੇ ਧਨ ਲੇਹਿਂ ਸੁਖਾਰੇ ।

gur ghar te dhan lehin sukhaare

ਖਾਟਹਿਂ ਲਾਭ ਕਰਹਿਂ ਬਿਵਹਾਰੇ ।

khaattahin laabh karahin bivahaare

They effortlessly acquire wealth from the Guru's abode and use it for profitable business ventures.

ਉਤਸਵ ਮਹਾਂ ਬ੍ਯਾਹ ਕੋ ਹੋਵੈ ।

autasav mahaan bayaaeh ko hovai

ਬਹੁ ਦਿਨ ਲਗਿ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਜੋਵੈਂ ॥੬॥

bahu din lag gur darashan jovain ||6||

A grand festivity is set for the wedding, with numerous days dedicated to seeking the Guru's vision (darshan). ||6||

ਬਹੁ ਗੁਨ ਹੈਂ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰਿ ਜਾਨੇ ।

bahu gun hain anandapur jaane

ਮਿਲਿ ਕਰਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਸਭਿਹਿਨਿ ਜਾਨੇ ।

mil kar sayaane sabhihin jaane

There are myriad advantages to visiting Anandpur, and gathering together, all the wise ones recognise this unanimously.

ਗਮਨੇ ਕਿਤਿਕ ਸਕਟ ਕਰਿ ਭਾਰੇ ।

gamane kitik sakatt kar bhaare

ਆਪ ਅਰੂਢੇ ਲਾਦ੍ਯੋ ਭਾਰੇ ॥੭॥

aap aroodte laadayo bhaare ||7||

Numerous individuals prepare carts, laden with provisions, and embark, having loaded up their belongings. ||7||

ਨਿਕਟ ਨਿਕਟ ਜੇਤਿਕ ਥੇ ਬਾਸੀ ।

nikatt nikatt jetik the baasee

ਚਲਿ ਆਏ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰਿ ਪਾਸੀ ।

chal aae aanandapur paasee

Those who reside in nearby regions also make their journey to Anandpur Sahib.

ਇਮ ਜਬਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਨਿਕ ਚਲਿ ਆਏ ।

eim jab anik banik chal aae

ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਕਲਗ਼ੀਧਰ ਤਿਨ ਸੁਧਿ ਪਾਏ ॥੮॥

In this manner, when numerous merchants arrive, Shri Kalgidhar Patshaah is informed of their presence... ||8||

ਨਿਜ ਪੁਰਿ ਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਸ਼ਿ ਲਹ੍ਯੋ ।

nij pur te utar dish lehayo

ਸ਼ੁਭ ਥਲ ਲਵਪੁਰਿ ਕਰਿਬੋ ਚਹ੍ਯੋ ।

shubh thal lavapur karibo chehayo

From his city, he looked towards the north, harboring a desire to establish the beautiful and auspicious city of Guru Ka Lahore.

ਤਬਿ ਮਾਤੁਲ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਬਖਾਨਾ ।

tab maatul ke sang bakhaanaa

ਹੁਕਮ ਮਸੰਦਨ ਦੇਹੁ ਸੁਜਾਨਾ ॥੯॥

hukam masandan dehu sujaanaa ||9||

Then, addressing his uncle, Kirpal Chand, Guruji said, "O wise uncle, summon the Masands; ||9||

ਤਿਸ ਥਲ ਜਾਇ ਕਰਾਵਹਿਂ ਆਹਰ ।

tis thal jaae karaavahin aahar

ਜਿਸ ਬਿਧਿ ਨਗਰ ਬਸਹਿ ਬਡ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ।

jis bidh nagar baseh badd zaahar

[And tell them] to go to that location and make efforts to establish it in such a way that a grand city takes shape.

ਬੀਚ ਬਜ਼ਾਰ ਬਿਲੰਦ ਬਨਾਵਹਿਂ ।

beech bazaar biland banaavahin

ਬ੍ਰਿੰਦ ਬਰੋਬਰ ਛਾਪਰ ਛਾਵਹਿਂ ॥੧੦॥

brind barobar chhaapar chhaavahin ||10||

Within [the heart of] this city, set up expansive markets along with sheltering roofs. ||10||

ਲਾਇ ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਨਰਨਿ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਹੁਂ ।

laae mihanatee naran hazaarahun

ਧਰਿ ਤੂਰਨਤਾ ਠਾਨਹਿਂ ਤ੍ਯਾਰਹੁ ।

dhar tooranataa tthaanahin tayaarahu

Engage numerous construction workers and laborers, who will work swiftly in preparing the city.

ਜੋ ਬਿਵਹਾਰੀ ਚਲਿ ਕਰਿ ਆਵਹਿ ।

jo bivahaaree chal kar aavahi

ਦੇ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਬਸਾਵਹਿਂ ॥੧੧॥

de tis ko sanamaan basaavahin ||11||

As for the merchants who come here, honor them and provide accommodations, ensuring they are well settled. ||11||

ਆਪ ਰੋਜ਼ ਤਹਿਂ ਕੀਜਹਿ ਫੇਰਾ ।

aap roz tahin keejeh feraa

ਸੰਗਰ ਦਿਹੁ ਬਂਧਵਾਇ ਚੁਫੇਰਾ ।

sangar dihu bandhavaae chuferaa

Visit the site daily and ensure a protective barrier or fence is constructed around it."

ਸੁਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਹੁਕਮ ਬਸਾਵਨਿ ਲਵਪੁਰਿ ।

sun gur hukam basaavan lavapur

ਕਾਰਜ ਲੀਨਿ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ਹਰਖ ਉਰ ॥੧੨॥

kaaraj leen sanbhaar harakh ur ||12||

Hearing the Guru's command, Mama Kirpal Chand took on the responsibility with joy [and began establishing the city of Guru Ka Lahore]. ||12||

ਬ੍ਰਿੰਦ ਮਸੰਦਨ ਲਏ ਹਕਾਰਾ ।

brind masandan le hakaaraa

ਸਭਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੋ ਹੁਕਮ ਉਚਾਰਾ ।

sabh prat gur ko hukam uchaaraa

Gathering a group of Masands, he assertively relayed the Guru's command to each one of them.

ਧਰਿ ਧਰਿ ਹਰਖ ਸਕਲ ਚਲਿ ਗਏ ।

dhar dhar harakh sakal chal ge

ਪੁੰਜ ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਇਕ ਥਲ ਕਿਏ ॥੧੩॥

punj mihanatee ik thal kie ||13||

Every one of them, filled with joy, promptly set out, gathering the workers in one place. ||13||

ਤੂਰਨ ਛਾਪਰ ਛਾਵਨਿ ਕਰੇ ।

tooran chhaapar chhaavan kare

ਰੀਤਿ ਬਜਾਰਨਿ ਕੀ ਅਨੁਸਰੇ ।

reet bajaaran kee anusare

They quickly set up roofs and canopies, modeling them after [traditional] marketplaces.

ਪਹੁਂਚੇ ਤਹਾਂ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਿਵਹਾਰੀ ।

pahunche tahaan anik bivahaaree

ਹੇਰਿ ਹੇਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਹਾਟ ਸੰਭਾਰੀ ॥੧੪॥

her her kar haatt sanbhaaree ||14||

Numerous traders reached the area, and after looking around, they set up their different stalls. ||14||

ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਕੀ ਤਨੀਆ ।

shree guroo har govind kee taneea

ਪੰਚ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਸ ਨੇ ਭਟ ਜਨੀਆ ।

panch putr tis ne bhatt janeea

[Bibi Viro Ji], the esteemed daughter of Guru Har Gobind, gave birth to five valiant sons.

ਗੁਰੂ ਭਾਨਜੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਕਹੈਂ ।

guroo bhaanaje tin ko kahain

ਮਹਾਂਬੀਰ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਮਤਿ ਮਹਿਂ ਅਹੈਂ ॥੧੫॥

mahaanbeer shubh mat mahin ahain ||15||

Commonly known as the Guru's nephews, they are valiant warriors and possess auspicious wisdom. ||15||

ਨਾਮ ਬਡੇ ਕੋ ਸੰਗੋ ਧਰ੍ਯੋ ।

naam badde ko sango dharayo

ਸੋ ਗੁਰ ਨਿਕਟ ਹਕਾਰਨਿ ਕਰ੍ਯੋ ।

so gur nikatt hakaaran karayo

The eldest among them is named Sango Shah. They are called close to the Guru

ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਕਾਜ ਦੀਨਿ ਸੰਭਾਰਨ ।

tis ko kaaj deen sanbhaaran

ਪੁਰਿ ਪੁਰਿ ਕੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਕਾਰਨਿ ॥੧੬॥

pur pur ko mukh karahu hakaaran ||16||

And given this task: "Call the heads of various neighbouring villages. ||16||

ਪੂੰਜੀ ਕੇਤਿਕ ਲੈ ਹੈ ਕੋਇ ।

poonjee ketik lai hai koe

ਤੇਤਿਕ ਦਰਬ ਦੇਹੁ ਹਿਤ ਸੋਇ ।

tetik darab dehu hit soe

Whatever sum they ask for their services, provide that with amount.

ਖਾਵਹਿਂ ਲਾਭ ਸਦਨ ਲੇ ਜਾਇਂ ।

khaavahin laabh sadan le jaaein

ਸਉਦਾ ਕਰਹਿਂ ਬਨਕ ਸਮੁਦਾਇ ॥੧੭॥

saudaa karahin banak samudaae ||17||

They will earn profit here and then return to their estates. All the traders will conduct business here. ||17||

ਸਭਿ ਕੋ ਸਾਦਰ ਤਹਾਂ ਬਸਾਵਹੁ ।

sabh ko saadar tahaan basaavahu

ਨਿਰਧਨ ਕੋ ਧਨ ਦੇਹੁ ਬਿਠਾਵਹੁ ।

niradhan ko dhan dehu bitthaavahu

Respectfully settle everyone there [in Guru Ka Lahore] and provide financial support to the less fortunate, ensuring they are settled.

ਸੁਧਿ ਕੋ ਲੇਹੁ ਫਿਰਹੁ ਥਲ ਸਾਰੇ ।

sudh ko lehu firahu thal saare

ਥੁਰ੍ਯੋ ਨ ਰਹਿ ਸਭਿ ਕਰਹੁ ਸੰਭਾਰੇ ॥੧੮॥

thurayo na reh sabh karahu sanbhaare ||18||

Survey all the surrounding places to understand everyone's activities so that nobody remains in need. Look after everyone diligently." ||18||

ਇੱਤ੍ਯਾਦਿਕ ਕਾਰਜ ਜੇ ਔਰ ।

eitayaadik kaaraj je aauar

ਸੌਂਪੇ ਸਭਿ ਸੋਢੀ ਸਿਰਮੌਰ ।

sauanpe sabh sodtee siramauar

In this manner, Guru Gobind Singh, the chief of the Sodhi lineage, delegates responsibilities.

ਨਿਜ ਨਿਜ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਨਿ ਕਉ ਲਾਗੇ ।

nij nij kaar karan kau laage

ਦੇਤਿ ਤੁਰਤ ਜੋ ਚਹੀਅਹਿ ਮਾਂਗੇ ॥੧੯॥

det turat jo chaheeeh maange ||19||

Each individual embarks on their assigned duties, and any necessities are promptly provided to those who request. ||19||

ਨਿਜ ਪੁਰਿ ਤਜਿ ਤਜਿ ਨਰ ਗਨ ਆਏ ।

nij pur taj taj nar gan aae

ਦੇ ਕਰਿ ਧਨ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਬਿਠਾਏ ।

de kar dhan sanamaan bitthaae

Departing from their own towns and villages, numerous people flock to Anandpur Sahib, where they receive wealth and assistance in settling down.

ਦੇਖਿ ਸੁਭਿੱਖੀ ਖੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਤਬੈ ।

dekh subhakhee khatree tabai

ਪੁਰਿ ਬਸਿਬੇ ਕੋ ਉੱਦਮ ਸਬੈ ॥੨੦॥

pur basibe ko udam sabai ||20||

Observing this, the Khatris of the Subhiki lineage notice the immense efforts being made to establish town. ||20||

ਚਲ੍ਯੋ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਾਮਾ ਲਿਖਵਾਇ ।

chalayo hukam naamaa likhavaae

ਲਵਪੁਰਿ ਨਿਜ ਘਰ ਪਹੁਂਚ੍ਯੋ ਜਾਇ ।

lavapur nij ghar pahunchayo jaae

He receives a hukamnama from the Guru and heads back to his own home in Lahore.

ਸਭਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਇਕ ਥਾਈਂ ।

sabh sangat kar kai ik thaaeen

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਤਬਹਿ ਸੁਨਾਈ ॥੨੧॥

satigur marazee tabeh sunaaee ||21||

Upon reaching, he gathers the congregation at one place and conveys to them the Guru's wishes: ||21||

ਲਵਪੁਰਿ ਨਵੋਂ ਬਸਾਵਨਿ ਕਰ੍ਯੋ ।

lavapur navon basaavan karayo

ਮੋਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਗ੍ਯਾ ਕੋ ਹਿਤ ਧਰ੍ਯੋ ।

mohi pratagayaa ko hit dharayo

"A new Lahore is established for habitation; just for the sake of my vow he has undertaken this task!

ਚਲਹੁ ਸਕਲ ਹੀ ਤਿਸ ਥਲ ਮਾਂਹੂ ।

chalahu sakal hee tis thal maanhoo

ਰਚਹਿਂ ਸਮਾਜ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਿਧਿ ਬ੍ਯਾਹੂ ॥੨੨॥

rachahin samaaj anik bidh bayaahoo ||22||

Let's all go there and settle, and let us arrange the countless preparations for the wedding festivities! ||22||

ਭਲੇ ਭਾਗ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਰਿ ਲਖੋ ।

bhale bhaag apane kar lakho

ਗੁਰ ਢੁਕਾਉ ਕੇ ਕੌਤਕ ਪਿਖੋ ।

gur dtukaau ke kauatak pikho

Recognise this as our fortunate fate and behold the spectacle of the Guru arriving at our new residence.

ਹਮ ਹਿਤ ਨਗਰ ਨਵੋਂ ਬਸਵਾਯੋ ।

ham hit nagar navon basavaayo

ਅਨਿਕ ਉਪਾਇ ਠਾਨਿ ਧਨ ਲਾਯੋ ॥੨੩॥

anik upaae tthaan dhan laayo ||23||

For our sake, he has created this new city, investing immense effort and a vast amount of wealth into it. ||23||

ਸੁਨਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਿਤ ਅਨੰਦੇ ।

sun satigur ke charit anande

ਲੇ ਲੇ ਆਪਨਿ ਦਰਬ ਬਿਲੰਦੇ ।

le le aapan darab bilande

Upon hearing the tales of the true Guru, they are filled with bliss. Taking all their considerable wealth and resources,

ਸਕਟੇ ਬਹਿਲਨ ਕੋ ਜੁਰਵਾਇ ।

sakatte bahilan ko juravaae

ਸਦਨ ਸੌਜ ਸਗਰੀ ਲਦਵਾਇ ॥੨੪॥

sadan sauaj sagaree ladavaae ||24||

they load them onto bull-driven carts and transport their entire household belongings. ||24||

ਲੋਕ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਹੁਂ ਲਵਪੁਰਿ ਕੇਰੇ ।

lok hazaarahun lavapur kere

ਗਵਨੇ ਲੀਨਿ ਸਮਾਜ ਘਨੇਰੇ ।

gavane leen samaaj ghanere

Thousands from Lahore gather their supplies, forming a large convoy [heading east towards Anandpur].

ਬ੍ਰਿੰਦ ਕਾਮਨੀ ਸ੍ਯੰਦਨ ਚਢੀ ।

brind kaamanee sayandan chadtee

ਕੋ ਬਹਿਲਨ ਪਰ ਚੌਂਪਹਿ ਬਢੀ ॥੨੫॥

ko bahilan par chauanpeh badtee ||25||

The women, too, mount the carts; some, in their eagerness, even climb atop the buffaloes directly. ||25||

ਬਸਨ ਬਿਭੂਖਨ ਭੂਖਤਿ ਹੋਈ ।

basan bibhookhan bhookhat hoee

ਗੁਰ ਬ੍ਯਾਹਤਿ ਮੁਦਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਕੋਈ ।

gur bayaaehat mudate sabh koee

Adorned in splendid attire and exquisite jewellery, everyone's joyous anticipation for the Guru's wedding is palpable.

ਸਨੇ ਸਨੇ ਸਭਿ ਮਗ ਉਲਂਘਾਏ ।

sane sane sabh mag ulanghaae

ਸਤੁੱਦ੍ਰਵ ਉਤਰਿ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰਿ ਆਏ ॥੨੬॥

satadrav utar anandapur aae ||26||

Gradually making their way, they cross the Satluj River and finally arrive at Anandpur Sahib. ||26||

ਜਿਹ ਠਾਂ ਲਵਪੁਰਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਸਾਯੋ ।

jih tthaan lavapur guroo basaayo

ਪਹੁਂਚੇ ਤਹਾਂ ਸਮਾਜ ਟਿਕਾਯੋ ।

pahunche tahaan samaaj ttikaayo

At that very place where Guru Ji established Guru Ka Lahore, they unload and organise their supplies and possessions.

ਕਰ੍ਯੋ ਖਰੀਦਨ ਘ੍ਰਿਤ ਮਿਸ਼ਟਾਨ ।

karayo khareedan ghrit mishattaan

ਲੀਨੋ ਨੀਕੋ ਅੰਨ ਮਹਾਨ ॥੨੭॥

leeno neeko an mahaan ||27||

They begin their purchases of butter and sweets, securing substantial quantities of fine wheat flour. ||27||

ਮੇਵੇ ਬ੍ਰਿੰਦ ਮੋਲ ਲੇ ਧਰੇ ।

meve brind mol le dhare

ਬਾਸਨ ਬਡੇ ਲ੍ਯਾਇਬੋ ਕਰੇ ।

baasan badde layaaeibo kare

They have a significant amount of dried fruits with them, accompanied by large utensils and dishes.

ਸੂਖਮ ਚਾਵਰ ਚਾਰੁ ਲੰਮੇਰੇ ।

sookham chaavar chaar lamere

ਦੇ ਕਰਿ ਦਰਬ ਲੀਨਿ ਬਹੁਤੇਰੇ ॥੨੮॥

de kar darab leen bahutere ||28||

They acquire very fine and elongated rice, investing a substantial sum to obtain it in bulk. ||28||

ਅੰਬਰ ਪਸ਼ਮੰਬਰ ਪਾਟੰਬਰ ।

anbar pashamanbar paattanbar

ਕਰੇ ਖਰੀਦਨਿ ਜੇ ਪਿਖਤੰਬਰ ।

kare khareedan je pikhatanbar

They acquire fine wool and silk fabrics, opting for the finest and most renowned materials they see.

ਦੀਹ ਕਰਾਹੇ ਦਏ ਧਰਾਇ ।

deeh karaahe de dharaae

ਅਨਿਕ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਪਕਵਾਨ ਬਨਾਇ ॥੨੯॥

anik bhaant pakavaan banaae ||29||

ਭਾਂਤਿ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਕੇ ਗੀਤਨਿ ਗਾਇ ।

bhaant bhaant ke geetan gaae

The women of the city gather, singing songs of various kinds.

ਕਿਤਿਕ ਢੋਲਕੀ ਕਰਹਿਂ ਬਜਾਵਨਿ ।

ਨਾਚਹਿ ਮਾਚਹਿਂ ਰਾਚਹਿਂ ਚਾਵਨ ॥੩੧॥

naacheh maachahin raachahin chaavan ||31||

Some play the dholki drums while others dance, completely engrossed in their joy and enthusiasm. ||31||

ਗਨ ਨਗਰਨਿ ਕੇ ਬਹੁ ਹਲਵਾਈ ।

gan nagaran ke bahu halavaaee

ਭਾਂਤਿ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਕੀ ਕਰਤਿ ਮਿਠਾਈ ।

bhaant bhaant kee karat mitthaaee

Many cooks and confectioners from various cities are present, crafting a variety of sweets.

ਬਡੇ ਜਲੇਬ ਪਕਾਵਨਿ ਕਰੈਂ ।

badde jaleb pakaavan karain

ਆਛੀ ਰੀਤਿ ਸੁਧਾਰਤਿ ਧਰੈਂ ॥੩੨॥

They prepare large jalebis with great care and finesse, setting them aside appropriately. ||32||

ਨੁਗਦੀ ਘੇਵਰ ਕੇ ਸਮੁਦਾਇ ।

ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਅੰਬਾਰ ਲਗਾਇ ।

kar raakhe anbaar lagaae

ਲੇਨਿ ਦੇਨਿ ਠਾਨਤਿ ਬਿਵਹਾਰ ॥੩੬॥

ਬ੍ਰਿੰਦ ਛਾਪਰਨਿ ਛਾਵਨਿ ਕਰਿਬੇ ।

brind chhaaparan chhaavan karibe

Guru, along with his wedding entourage, arrives and dismounts where they set up tents and shelters.

ਤਪਤ ਬਿਦਾਰਨ ਸੰਘਣੀ ਛਾਯਾ ।

tapat bidaaran sanghanee chhaayaa

ਅਨਿਕ ਜਤਨ ਤੇ ਚਾਰੁ ਬਨਾਯਾ ॥੩੭॥

anik jatan te chaar banaayaa ||37||

ਬਨੀ ਬੈਠਕਾਂ ਸੀਤਲ ਥਾਨ ।

ਖਸ ਕੀ ਟਾਟੀ ਲਾਇ ਮਹਾਨ ।

khas kee ttaattee laae mahaan

ਕਰਤਿ ਕਾਰ ਕੋ ਪੁੰਜ ਪਹਾਰੀ ।

ਜਹਿਂ ਕਹਿਂ ਲੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਧਨ ਧਾਨਾ ।

jahin kahin le baitthe dhan dhaanaa

ਪਿਖਿਨਿ ਬਰਾਤ ਨਰਨਿ ਸਮੁਦਾਊ ।

pikhin baraat naran samudaaoo
