Chapter 46

The Pir of Uch

As Mahraaj leaves the grounds of the greatest and most miraculous battle in human history, Satguru Ji finds himself alone and injured in the thorns of the Machhiwara jungle, with badly blistered and torn feet. As he rests and tries to recover, the three Singhs set out to find him, following the stars in the sky. They eventually locate Guru Sahib and Bhai Mann Singh treats his wounds with a cannabis-infused drink.

Meanwhile, the opposing army believes that they have killed Guru Gobind Singh and celebrates their victory, sending the heads of Bhai Sant Singh and Bhai Sangat Singh to the Emperor Aurangzeb in Delhi as a trophy. However, they soon learn that the Guru is still alive and launch a massive operation to capture him, with tens and thousands of soldiers searching in all directions.

As the Singhs try to evade capture, they are invited to the home of a devotee named Gulaba. However, Gulaba is fearful of harbouring the most wanted men in the world and the danger it could bring to his family. Despite this, Guru Sahib and his Singhs are able to rest and recover at Gulaba's home.

In this chapter, the military operations expand in an effort to capture Guru Gobind Singh.

Two Pathans brothers, Nabi Khan and Gani Khan, visit Guru Sahib at Gulaba's home and offer to help him on a mission to reach a safe area without being caught by the tyrants. Shortly after, an elderly woman from Machhiwara gifts Kalagīdhar Pātaśāh beautiful silk robes and receives a divine blessing.

When Nabi Khan and Gani Khan return, he reveals his plan to travel in disguise on a decorated bed, with Nabi and Gani carrying the front, Bhai Dharam Singh and Bhai Mann Singh carrying the back, and Bhai Daya Singh fanning the "Pir" as they go. However, they are stopped by an officer who is suspicious and invites them to come to their campsite for further investigation.

Will they be able to outwit their pursuers and emerge victorious?
